Best in 2018: Ladies Watches

The best Watches for Ladies launched in 2018. Today we highlight some of our favourite Ladies Watches presented in 2018. Selected watches are listed alphabetically, not in order of preference. Top watches for women in 2018.

Today's article for our series on some of the best timepieces introduced in 2018 in various categories is dedicated to Ladies Watches and follows our past reports on Chronographs, Sport Watches and Dress Watches. Tomorrow, we will complete our "Best in 2018" series focusing on wristwatches featuring Complications.

As for past articles, selected watches are here listed alphabetically, not in order of preference.

Bulgari Lucea Skeleton
Playful and sophisticated, the new Lucea Skeleton reveals the inner workings of the automatic winding BVL 191 movement, crafted by hand in Bulgari’s Manufacture in Switzerland. This model is the first skeleton watch in history that takes the letters of the watchmaker’s logo and makes them integral to the design. The coloured red lacquered hands add a flash of colour to the openwork dial, beautifully coordinating with the cabochon-cut gemstone set into a crown which is a pleasure to wind. Available in steel, rose gold and rose gold with diamonds. Read the full article.

Eberhard Scafograf 100
Powered by a reliable automatic movement, the Eberhard Scafograf 100 comes in a 38 mm stainless steel alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces. Its ceramic 3D bezel has a faceted finish with relief effect, in a white or chocolate colour matching the two mother-of-pearl dial versions on which luminescent applied markers and baton-type hands clearly stand out. White or chocolate integrated rubber straps nicely match the dials. Read the full article.

Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna
The PanoMatic Luna from Glashütte Original is a 50-piece special edition that the German brand designed as a gift for the International Day of the Kiss (July 6, 2018). Studded with diamonds and rubies, it features a white mother-of-pearl dial with the opening of the romantic moon phase at 2 o’clock and the characteristic Panorama Date just below it. The in-house Calibre 90-12 automatic movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is enhanced by a radiant red Louisiana alligator leather strap. Read the full article.

Nomos Glashütte - Tetra Petit Four
The Tetra Petit Four series by Nomos Glashütte consists of four colourful Tetra versions. The 29.5 mm x 29.5 mm square case in stainless steel frames a dial characterized by beautiful colours (grenadine red, pearl pink, matcha green and azure blue), contrasting sans-serif numerals and minimalist baton hands (gold-plated, rhodium-plated or green). The watches are just 6.25 mm thick thanks to the slimness of the movement inside, the 3 Hz Alpha calibre, in-house built by Nomos in Glashütte. Read the full article.

Omega De Ville Trésor
Offered in a diverse range of materials and colours, the Omega De Ville Trésor delivers a classic design with a modern edge and a touch of diamonds. Each model is distinguished by its thin case, available in either 39 mm or 36 mm sizes, with diamonds following the profile along each side. The timepieces are also noticeable for their transferred or embossed Roman numerals, elegantly circling the lacquered dials. Read the full article.

Patek Philippe has Twenty-4 Automatic
Patek Philippe expanded the Twenty-4 collection with the new Twenty-4 Automatic models, the first in the line to feature round cases and mechanical movements. The 36 mm case of the new model has elaborated lugs and a bezel set with 160 diamonds that frames a dial characterized by large gold-applied Arabic numerals, central seconds and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. The three-link metal bracelet is seamlessly integrated. Available in a range of materials and dials. Read the full article.

Richard Mille RM 71-01 Automatic Tourbillon Talisman
Presented in ten variations characterised by a great variety of finishes, precious stones and setting, the RM 71-01 Automatic Tourbillon Talisman is the first Richard Mille watch that features an in-house automatic tourbillon movement. Each dial, a mere 0.9 mm in thickness, is hand set with mother-of-pearl, onyx and diamonds. Not only beautiful, this dial is a technical feat due to the great number of different finishing operations that must be performed in a very small area arranged on several levels. Read the full article.

Tiffany Metro Collection
Combining fine jewelry design and no-compromise Swiss craftsmanship, the Metro is the latest Tiffany & Co. watch collection. Reinforcing Tiffany’s diamond legacy, each timepiece features a unique round brilliant diamond crown that is assigned an individual serial number, making each watch personal to the wearer. A wide range of dials, cases and straps makes it possible for a woman to find the favourite combination. The self-winding mechanical movement offers a power reserve 42 hours. Read the full article.
