The new Heart Beat Manufacture Silicium FC-942 (ref. FC-942ABS4H9), available in limited editions of 188 pieces in rose gold and 18 pieces in platinum, was presented by Frederique Constant last week during an event held in Geneva to celebrate 10 years from the launch of the first Heart Beat Manufacture Calibre in 2004.
The 42 mm case houses the manufacture automatic movement FC-942, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hours and offering 42 hours of power reserve. The movement features an innovative escapement made in silicium that uses less power and maintains amplitude more efficiently than a standard lever escapement, because it functions without lubrication.
The dial is characterised by the signature and patented aperture showcasing the balance at the 6 o’clock position. At 12 o'clock the moon-phase and date sub-dial.
The new limited edition model powered by the FC-942 movement follows the Frederique Constant Heart Beat Manufacture Silicium FC-945 model, recently presented at BaselWorld 2014, which differs for the silver guilloché dial with Roman numerals and the additional 24-hour sub-dial at 9-clock.
The Heart Beat Manufacture Silicium FC-945 is available in red gold (ref. FC-945MC4H9) or in stainless steel (ref. FC-945MC4H6) with retail prices of Euro 12,000 and Euro 4,950 respectively.
