Alpina - Alpiner Heritage Manufacture KM-710

Inspired to the timepieces created by Alpina for the German Kriegsmarine (Navy) in the 1930s, the new Alpiner Heritage Manufacture KM-710 looks at the originals in terms of case, dial and hands design but updates the model to today’s standards in a contemporary re-interpretation.

The stainless steel case has now a diameter of 41.5 mm compared to the vintage models which were 32/35 mm and features a screwed case back which can withstand 5 bars of water pressure.

The silver dial has black printed Arabic indices with a date display at 6 o’clock. Instead of the luminescent radium used in the early models, the beige Super-LumiNova luminescent material used on the dial and hands is completely safe and offers excellent legibility, further enhanced by the glass box sapphire crystal which also offers protection to scratches.

The in-house AL-710 automatic calibre is characterised by the form of the black-coated ball bearing rotor. Decorated with Côtes de Genève and circular-graining, with all bridges and cocks bevelled and rhodium-finished, the movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound.

Fitted with a dark brown leather strap, the Alpina Alpiner Heritage Manufacture KM-710 (ref. AL-710KMV4E6) has a retail price of Euro 2,495.
