Maurice Lacroix - Pontos S Diver Black PVD

Introduced last year as a Baselworld 2014 preview, the Pontos S Diver released by Maurice Lacroix was one of the most interesting new diving watches of last year.

Designed as a professional tool offering a water resistance of 600 metres with its helium escape valve system at 9 o’clock, the Pontos S Diver is equally at home on dry land for anyone looking for a sporty and robust watch.

The line is now enriched by the Pontos S Diver in black PVD, which maintains the same 43 mm case diameter of the steel version. A stylish but also useful alternative, especially for professional divers that need to explore waters inhabited by predators, where watches without gleaming metal surfaces are generally considered a better choice.

In addition to the minute hand, the new black PVD model incorporates other orange details like the second hand, a matching ring on the crown located at 2 o’clock and the indication of the water resistance, just below the Maurice Lacroix logo.

The crown, positioned at 2 o’clock, adjusts the inner rotating bezel. To ensure that the inner bezel is not accidentally moved, the crown has to be unscrewed beforehand.

The hour and minute hands, just like the applied indexes, are treated with luminescent material for excellent legibility when diving.

The automatic movement ML115, which also offers a date function at 6 o'clock, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 38 hours.

Both versions of the Pontos S Diver are available on a black rubber and calfskin strap featuring black stitching. The stainless steel model is also available with a matching metal bracelet fitted with a folding clasp.
