Nomos - Zurich Worldtimer True Blue

The new Nomos Zurich Worldtimer True Blue (Zürich Weltzeit Nachtblau in German) features a 24-hour worldtime function powered by an automatic movement equipped with the new Nomos Swing System.

The deep blue tone of the galvanized dial gives the name to the watch and create a successful combination with the contrasting white hour marker, time zones and logo. The two red details, the arrow indicating the home time and its icon, add a nice touch. The push button at 2 o'clock allows the wearer to quickly select the zone indicating the time at home.

The classic stainless steel case has a diameter of 39.9 mm with AR coated sapphire crystals on both sides. The height is just 10.85 mm.

A first time for the Zurich Worldtimer model, the Calibre DUW 5201 is equipped with an in-house developed escapement - the Nomos Swing System - which comprises balance wheel, hairspring, escape wheel and pallet fork. According to Nomos, the new system is not only of the best quality but it can also be made at serial production costs, meaning that Nomos watches will maintain their appealing price positioning.

Offering a power reserve of 42 hours, the movement is nicely finished with tempered blue screws, Glashütte ribbing and perlage, and sunburst decoration for ratchet and duplex wheel.

The Zurich Worldtimer True Blue makes the worldtime complication simple and affordable. Available from October 2014, the retail price of the Zurich Worldtimer True Blue will be US$ 6,100 / Euro 4,200.
