Ulysse Nardin - Freak Phantom

Ulysse Nardin celebrates its famous Freak model, first introduced in 2001, by presenting the Freak Phantom.
The Freak was revolutionary not only  for the unconventional design of the tourbillon carrousel and for not having crown or hands but also for being the first timepiece to successfully integrate escapement wheels constructed of silicium.

Now the Freak Phantom expands the use of silicium and takes the tourbillon to new heights.
A limited edition of just 99 pieces, the Freak Phantom uses silicium in its patented hairspring and throughout the majority of its escapement. The entire movement of the Freak Phantom, including the oscillator, is produced in house and offers a power reserve of more than eight days.

The flying tourbillon indicates the minutes with a tourbillon carrousel that performs one complete rotation around the centre in 60 minutes.
The cage of the Freak Phantom is equipped with an arrow indicating the seconds on a transparent half-circle with the zero positioned on the axis of the minute indicator.

The Freak Phantom can be wound by turning the lower bezel, and the time can be adjusted by turning the upper bezel.
The 18-karat rose-gold case has a diameter of 45 mm.
