Presented at LVMH Watch Week, Hublot introduces the Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition, a trilogy of watches developed in collaboration with the brand’s ambassador, Novak Djokovic.
The project reflects key milestones in Djokovic’s professional career, which currently includes 101 tournament victories, 24 Grand Slam titles, an Olympic gold medal at Paris 2024 and a record 428 weeks spent as world number one.
The Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition is offered in three different versions, each corresponding to one of tennis’s playing surfaces.
The blue model (ref. 429.QKB.0120.NR.DJO26) represents hard courts, the orange version (ref. 429.QKO.0120.NR.DJO26) refers to clay courts, while the green execution (ref. 429.QKG.0120.NR.DJO26) is associated with grass courts.
Production numbers are directly linked to Djokovic’s victories on each surface. The hard court edition is available in 72 pieces, the clay court version in 21 pieces, and the grass court model in eight pieces, for a total of 101 watches.
Each piece is individually numbered. The series is not defined as a limited edition; in the event of future tournament wins, Hublot plans to add additional watches to the collection, with the colour corresponding to the surface on which the victory is achieved.
The 44 mm x 14.4 mm case is made of a special Hublot-developed composite manufactured from Lacoste polos and Head tennis racquets.
This high-tech, lightweight, rigid, marbled material is exclusive to Hublot and was also used in the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic of 2024.
The case middle, or container, is made from another advanced material known as Titaplast, described as the world’s strongest polymer. It offers mechanical properties comparable to titanium, can be machined to very fine tolerances, and provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio combined with a soft matte finish.
The material can also be coloured through an anodisation process.
The MHUB6035 automatic tourbillon movement powering the watch is equally distinctive in its construction. Instead of a traditional solid mainplate, Hublot’s engineers developed a three-dimensional lattice inspired by tennis racquet strings.
Each “string” measures just 0.55 mm in thickness and appears to be anchored to the edge of the mainplate by attachment points reminiscent of those found along the inner rim of a racquet.
Although the mainplate gives the impression of individually twisted and woven strings, it is in fact machined from a single piece using a high-precision laser-engraving process.
Once engraved, it is finished with a black PVD coating before Novak Djokovic’s distinctive “ND1” logo is printed on the surface in contrasting white.
The barrel delivering the 72-hour power reserve is topped by a steel ratchet wheel designed to resemble a tennis ball, visible through the openworked mainplate.
The movement’s aluminium tourbillon cage has been anodised in either blue, orange or green to match the case colour. At 12 o’clock, the watch’s rhodium-plated, 22-carat red gold micro-rotor is machined and laser-engraved to reveal the Hublot logo.
Further references to Djokovic’s tennis career appear throughout the watch.
The strap is crafted from white leather, embossed to resemble the padded texture of tennis racquet grip tape, and secured by a Velcro loop.
The six titanium screws securing the composite bezel are shaped like tennis balls. Both the front and back crystals are in chemically strengthened Gorilla Glass, chosen for its high resistance to impacts.
Together, these elements result in a watch weighing just 56 grammes, designed to withstand the stresses experienced when worn during play. Water resistance is guaranteed to 30 ATM (300 metres / 1,000 feet).
The new Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition has a retail price of CHF 100,000 / €115,000 / US$ 115,000. hublot.com
