Armin Strom introduces the Dual Time GMT Resonance Aventurine limited edition

Armin Strom continues to explore the possibilities of its resonance technology with a new interpretation of the Dual Time GMT Resonance distinguished by an aventurine dial inspired by the appearance of a star-filled night sky.

Limited to 15 pieces, the new Dual Time GMT Resonance Aventurine combines the architectural symmetry of the manufacture’s resonance movement with the shimmering depth of aventurine, creating a markedly different visual character from previous editions.

Warm rose gold-coloured movement elements creates a striking contrast with the cool luminosity of the dial.

The two independent time displays are positioned symmetrically on the dial side, each featuring its own hours, minutes and day/night indicator.

Black azurage chapter rings provide additional contrast against the aventurine base, while polished rose gold-coloured applied indexes and faceted hands improve legibility. The polished and blackened steel day/night discs add visual depth.

Powering the watch is the manually wound manufacture calibre ARF22, entirely developed and produced in-house by Armin Strom.

Measuring 34.15 mm in diameter and 4.92 mm thick, the movement is composed of 231 components and 40 jewels, operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The defining feature of the calibre remains the patented resonance clutch developed by Armin Strom.

This system mechanically connects two independent regulating organs, allowing the balance wheels to synchronise their oscillations through the physical phenomenon of resonance.

Beyond its technical interest, the system is intended to improve chronometric stability by enabling the two oscillators to continuously influence and stabilise one another.

Visible through sapphire crystals on both the front and back, the movement retains the open-worked architecture characteristic of the collection.

The rose gold-coloured mainplate establishes a warm visual foundation beneath the dial-side displays, while matching bridges on the reverse side create continuity throughout the calibre.

Finishing combines hand-executed and traditional decorative techniques, including hand-polished bevels, black-polished elements, circular graining, perlage and Côtes de Genève on the reverse side.

The mirror-polished balance bridge, with its hand-bevelled edges, remains one of the visual focal points of the movement, contrasting with the darker rhodium-coated and steel components surrounding it.

As with all Armin Strom watches, the movement is assembled twice, first for technical adjustment and subsequently for final finishing and assembly.

The Dual Time GMT Resonance Aventurine is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39 mm in diameter, 44.5 mm lug-to-lug and 9.05 mm thick.

Both the sapphire crystal and sapphire caseback feature anti-reflective treatment, while water resistance is rated to 5 ATM (50 metres / 165 feet).
