Chronoswiss Space Timer Gravity: regulator display with moonphases

Chronoswiss has recently unveiled the Space Timer Gravity, a timepiece defined by a dial that plays with light and texture to evoke the impression of a miniature planetarium.

Partially hand-guilloché, the dial is enhanced by a colour-shifting CVD coating that transitions between deep green and oceanic blue depending on the angle of the light.

On the left side, a highly detailed lunar surface adds depth to the composition.

This is not a simple print but the result of a three-dimensional laser engraving process. Based on an original NASA photograph, the rugged texture of the moon is recreated with remarkable depth.

Suspended above this terrain are transparent hour and date rings that appear to float. They are crafted from ITR2, a high-performance composite known for its lightness and resilience.

Beneath them, the exposed gear train is framed by a baby blue bridge that echoes the hue of the centrally positioned sweeping seconds hand.

The off-centre hours sub-dial is positioned at 12 o’clock and visually balances the moonphase display at 6 o’clock.

The titanium moon is adorned with Super-LumiNova stars, creating a luminous effect that recalls the night sky.

The 44 mm by 15.2 mm round case and signature onion crown are crafted from stainless steel with a matte grey finish that reinforces the technical character of the piece.

Visible through the sapphire case back, the self-winding Chronoswiss Calibre C.308 powers the hours, minutes, date and moonphase display.

It operates at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours.

The watch is paired with a light grey nubuck leather strap and is water-resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet).
