Longines - Pulsometer Chronograph

Inspired by a mainly medical timepiece from the early 1920s, the new Longines Pulsometer Chronograph presented at Baselworld 2015 is a single push-piece chronograph which combines functionality and elegance by adding a pulsometric scale to a beautiful vintage design.

The chronograph hand, coupled with the pulsometric scale, can indicate the patient's heart rate on the screen after only 30 pulses.

The white lacquered dial is adorned with painted black Arabic numerals which well harmonise with the Breguet-type blued steel hands. The contrasting red pulsometric scale stands out very clearly and adds character to the watch.

The stainless steel case has a diameter of 40 mm with a transparent case back to reveal the self-winding Calibre L788.2, a column wheel movement produced exclusively for Longines by ETA. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a power reserve of 54 hours.

The Longines Pulsometer Chronograph (ref. L2.801.4.23.2/4) is completed by a brown leather strap and will retail at a price of Euro 3,500 / US$ 4,200.
