MB&F - Horological Machine N. 5 RT

Inspired to 1970s, the Horological Machine N. 5 from MB&F has a new version in red gold and titanium.

The deep-brush case of the HM5 RT uses red gold for front and top and grade 5 titanium for the lower sides and base of the case. The warmth of the precious metal creates a nice contrast with the cool electric-blue trim around the time display.
An optical grade sapphire prism reflects the horizontal hour and minutes so that they display vertically and a convex lens magnifies the numeral by 20% for improved legibility. The vertical forward-facing display makes HM5 an excellent driver’s watch as there is no need to lift your wrist from the steering wheel to read the display.
A slide button allows to open and close the flap so that the light can enter down on the Super-LumiNova numbers and charges them.
The 4Hz (28,800 bph) automatic movement - or engine as MB&F calls it - is housed in a water resistant inner container. It offers a power reserve of 42 hours.
Despite of being generously sized (51.5mm x 49mm) and using gold, which is a pretty heavy metal, the HM5 RT is still very comfortable to wear thanks to the use of ultra-light titanium.

HM5 RT is a limited edition of 66 pieces.
