Ochs und Junior just presented the Annual Calendar Brass, a truly minimalist annual calendar made in titanium (case, crown and buckle) and brass (dial) with no added colours.typical annual calendar function uses up to 40 parts. The proprietary solution is based on an ETA 2824-2 movement.
Dial-contrast is achieved through hand-patination of the milled indices, month, date, and weekday dots with an antique art sculpture restoration solution. The same process is applied to the hour and minute hands. A tiny excentric dot is milled into the hand-patinated second disk to show that the watch is running.
The date, month and weekday can be discerned by the position of the rotating dots on the dial. The date perforations are each exactly two minutes apart on the dial for added readability of the exact minute.
Available case sizes are 39mm or 42mm with sapphire crystal. Case is also available in silver.
The price is 8,000 Swiss Francs for the titanium version and 10,000 Swiss Francs for the silver one.
