Vianney Halter - Deep Space Tourbillon

Vianney Halter is for sure one of the most futuristic independent watchmakers that we have seen for years. Some of his collections have first shocked, then influenced the watch industry. As he explains, his collections are inspired by science-fiction literature, the novels of Jules Verne and antique scientific instruments.

After a few years of silence, we have finally a new timepiece from this visionary. And what a piece! The new Deep Space Tourbillon is absolutely eye-catching with its triple-axis tourbillon placed at the centre of the dial. The tourbillon cage is surprisingly large allowing the wearer to explore the mechanisms.
Hours and minutes are indicated by means of curved thee-dimensional blue steel hands.
The inspiration - as confirmed by Halter - came from the Star Trek’s Deep Space Nine space station.
For sure the Deep Space Tourbillon is not a dress watch with its big domed crystal and a diameter of 46 mm. Nonetheless, the weight is just 90 grams thanks to the fact that the case is made of titanium.

The manually wound movement offers 55 hours of power reserve.
