Breguet introduces the Classique Répétition Minutes 7365, a minute repeater wristwatch, the only one produced for its 250th anniversary, that will be produced in a limited run of only 25 pieces.
Its case takes inspiration from the Souscription watch that opened the manufacture’s anniversary celebrations this year, adopting its new lug shape and aligning it with the updated aesthetic codes of the Classique line.
Measuring 39 mm x 10.8 mm, the case is characterised by a case middle hand-guilloché with the “Quai de l’Horloge” motif, first seen in 2025 and modelled on the aerial view of Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis, and water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet.
This makes the Classique Répétition Minutes 7365 the first water-resistant minute repeater ever made by Breguet. To achieve this, the most sensitive area of the case (the complication activation lock) has been fitted with gaskets.
The Classique Répétition Minutes 7365 is also the first watch of this type in 18K Breguet gold (case and calibre), with a unique dial in Bleu de France grand feu enamel.
This dial is crafted in white gold and covered with this particular enamel shade, which the Manufacture is introducing for the first time in its recent history.
The Bleu de France colour has deep roots in French history, dating back to the reign of Louis XIV, and is a subtle nod to the Maison’s heritage, a shade also used on the doors of the Breguet boutique and museum.
The ensemble is completed by hollowed-out, apple-shaped hands, applied Breguet numerals in polished Breguet gold, the master’s signature at 12 o’clock and a secret signature at 6 o’clock.
The Quai de l’Horloge guilloché motif also appears on the caseback, which has a sapphire opening that reveals Calibre 1896. This new movement replaces the long-used Calibre 567.2, now being phased out.
Calibre 1896 is the manufacture’s first minute repeater crafted in Breguet gold. Its main innovation concerns the gongs, made of white gold gilded with Breguet gold, which are fixed directly to the patented Breguet gold case. Using the same material throughout improves the clarity and harmony of the sound.
The movement operates at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), providing greater precision and stability against shocks. An optimized gear train, escapement and barrel extend the power reserve to 75 hours.
Breguet has also equipped Calibre 1896 with a silicon escapement (including balance spring, anchor and escape wheel). These non-magnetic components improve stability and are certified by the Breguet hallmark to resist magnetic fields of around 600 gauss. The silicon parts are also less sensitive to temperature variations, which helps maintain consistent precision.
Each watch undergoes strict acoustic testing to control the harmony of the gongs, the melody, the chime duration and the sound level. These tests take place in the manufacture’s anechoic chamber, following the protocol defined by Breguet’s EP4012511 patent. As a result, the Classique 7365 becomes the first minute repeater certified by the Breguet Hallmark, with an overall precision of plus or minus two seconds per day.
The upper part of the movement depicts the Quai de l’Horloge in Breguet gold, showing its façades, riverbanks and the Pont-Neuf linking the Île de la Cité to both sides of the Seine. The lower part portrays the Vallée de Joux, with its fir trees, mist and the Dent de Vaulion, reflected as if in the river scene above.
Each piece is hand-engraved with its individual number and bears the Breguet hallmark on the balance bridge. It is delivered in an individually numbered case inspired by the red Moroccan leather presentation boxes historically used by Breguet, created especially for the brand’s 250th anniversary.
The new Breguet Classique Répétition Minutes 7365, ref. 7365BH/2Y/986, is priced at €333,000. breguet.com
