HYT Watches - H1 Ghost

We confess that we found the latest model iterations from HYT Watches a bit boring compared to the original timepieces that started this watchmaking venture. We are now glad to see an interesting new proposal from the brand with the new H1 Ghost.

Based on the H1 launched in 2012, the H1 Ghost has been designed around a new black fluid produced in-house by Preciflex, HYT’s sister company which is responsible for developing fluids for HYT.

This fluid is completely opaque, hence it does not emit or reflect any light becoming completely invisible in the dark.

In order to make the H1 Ghost readable also in the dark, HYT developed a particular use of Super-LumiNova: the material illuminates the capillary from underneath along its entire translucent stretch, beyond the black fluid.

This way, in the dark the H1 Ghost does not only display the elapsed time, but also the remaining time up to 6 o'clock, when the fluid performs its retrograde movement.

The black DLC titanium case (48.8 mm x 17.9 mm) presents alternating brushed, micro-blasted and satin-finished surfaces and creates a strong contrast with the white hour and minute indices and the white power reserve.

The minute hand is black but with a luminescent dot at the end while the small seconds wheel and the static red arrow are positioned at 9.30. The case is complemented by a black rubber strap with a black DLC titanium ardillon buckle.

The new watch is equipped with an in-house made hand-wound movement running at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour offering a 65-hour power reserve indicated on the dial side at 2:30.

HYT Watches will release the H1 Ghost as a series of just 50 pieces.
