Armin Strom - Tourbillon Skeleton Air

Armin Strom expands its Tourbillon Skeleton line with the new Air model, recently showcased at Baselworld 2016.

Combining a 60-second tourbillon with a fully skeletonized movement, the Tourbillon Skeleton Air is a feast for the eyes. Even the simple winding of the watch becomes a show thanks to the symmetrically positioned double going barrel visible on both sides of the watch through sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment.

And of course, at 9 o'clock, the tourbillon plays the protagonist while also indicating the passing seconds.

The 43.40 mm x 13.00 mm case of the new model is crafted from titanium with a smooth satin finish very pleasing to the touch.

The Tourbillon Skeleton Air is powered by the hand-wound calibre ATC11-S characterised by the beautifully skeletonized main plate with grey PVD coating, gear-train bridges and barrel-bridges. Beating at 18,000 vibrations per hours, it offers a remarkable power reserve of 10 days and it is just 6.20 mm thick. Escape wheel and pallets are made of solid gold with hardened functional areas.

A demonstration of technical excellence, the Armin Strom Tourbillon Skeleton Air (ref. TI15-TA.50) comes with a gray or white alligator horn-back strap as well as an additional gray or white rubber strap secured by a double-fold clasp in titanium. Its price is Swiss Francs 93,000.
