Breitling - Navitimer AOPA

The Navitimer is probably the most emblematic model of Breitling, a watchmaking classic with a unique look and one of the most appreciated watches by aviation enthusiasts.

As a tribute to AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), the world’s largest association of aircraft owners and pilots founded in 1939 in the United States, Breitling has recently presented the Navitimer AOPA, a 500-piece limited series and a chronometer-certified selfwinding chronograph.

Just like the original Navitimer introduced in 1952, the Navitimer AOPA is equipped with a circular slide rule serving to handle all calculations relating to airborne navigation. This was one of the features that, in the 1950s convinced AOPA to elect this model as its official watch.

The Navitimer AOPA limited series bears the AOPA logo, with its small curved wings on the black dial, as well as on its engraved caseback.

The 42 mm stainless steel case houses a 4Hz (28,800 vph) selfwinding movement officially chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).

The Breitling Navitimer AOPA Limited Edition is available with a leather strap or with a steel bracelet with prices starting at Euro 6,900 / US$ 6,500. AOPA US members have the possibility to customize their Navitimer with their name and membership number at no extra cost through a dedicated page of Breitling's web site.
