Mido has unveiled the new Multifort Chronometer1 Racer, dressed in blue and orange to instantly evoke the world of motor racing.

Its black dial, decorated with a vertical Côtes de Genève pattern, is surrounded by orange, sky blue, and white.

The flange features a contrasting white minute track with orange numerals at five-minute intervals.

The faceted indexes and diamond-cut, faceted hands are coated with Super-LumiNova to ensure optimal readability, well protected by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The orange seconds hand emphasises the dynamic look, while the well-integrated white-on-black day and date indications at 3 o’clock add practicality to the model.

Housed in a 42 mm x 12 mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, the Multifort Chronometer1 Racer is powered by the self-winding Caliber 80 Si movement (ETA C07.821 base), equipped with a silicon balance spring and certified as a chronometer by COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours.

Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, the movement is finely decorated with an oscillating weight enhanced by Côtes de Genève and engraved with the Mido logo.

Water resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet) thanks to its screw-down crown, the watch is paired with a light blue leather strap with orange printed lines and comes with an additional smooth black leather strap with small perforations and white stitching. 

Both straps are equipped with a black PVD-coated stainless steel folding clasp and quick-change lug bars for easy strap swaps. The lug width measures 22 mm.
