Maurice Lacroix is introducing today, on the occasion of the Vicenzaoro show (January 19-23, Vicenza, Italy), the Aikon PVD, two variations of the popular Aikon model characterised by their glossy metallic finish obtained by means of a PVD coating.

Abbreviated as Physical Vapor Deposition, this treatment enhances the resistance of their stainless steel cases to scratching and temperature variations.

The first model, with a diameter of 39 mm, comes in midnight blue, while the other features a 42 mm case in gunmetal grey. The dynamic lines of the Aikon case are highlighted by the alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. 

Both timepieces feature a coordinated gradient dial framed by the distinctive circular bezel featuring six prominent arms and adorned with a Clous de Paris pattern. The display has a lighter shade in the center and a darker one at the edges. 

In these models, Maurice Lacroix removed the date aperture for a cleaner design.

Showcased through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the self-winding ML115 calibre, developed in cooperation with Sellita, one of the largest manufacturers of Swiss mechanical watch movements, operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) ensuring a power reserve of 38 hours.

The watches are accompanied by coordinated rubber straps with the "M" logo. Like all Aikon models, they feature Maurice Lacroix's Easy Strap Exchange system, allowing for easy strap replacement without the need for special tools.

The new Maurice Lacroix Aikon PVD, whether the 39 mm model in midnight blue or the 42 mm black version, retails at the price of CHF 2,400. Each edition is limited to 888 pieces. mauricelacroix.com
