Glashütte Original - Senator Moon Phase Skeletonized Edition

The new Senator Moon Phase Skeletonized Edition by Glashütte Original is a feast for the eyes with its many facets inviting the wearer to discover the smallest details of a dial which is a pure work of art.

The galvanic, skeletonized dial offers many different views of the finely decorated Calibre 49-13.

This hand-wound manufactory movement powers the central hour and minute hands, the off-centre small seconds at 6 o’clock, the moon-phase display at 10:30 and the power reserve indicator at 2 o’clock.

Oscillating at a frequency of 4 Hz, corresponding to 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. It bears 35 jewels, including 5 in screwed gold chatons.

Readability is excellent thanks to the stainless steel blued hands sweeping over a chapter ring bearing black Roman numerals.

Crafted from white gold, the classical yet sophisticated round case has a diameter of 42 mm with a height of 11.2 mm. It is waterproof to 3 bar (approximately 30 metres / 100 feet).

Like the front, the back side discloses the beauty of the movement through an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. In particular, it is possible to appreciate the swan-neck fine adjustment and the exceptional chisel techniques of the artisan who engraved the bridges.

Completed by a dark blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with a white gold buckle, the Glashütte Original Senator Moon Phase Skeletonized Edition (ref. 1-49-13-15-04-01) has a price of Euro 37,400 (including local tax) / US$ 42,500 (before local tax). The strap is also available with a white gold folding clasp.
