SIHH 2017: Parmigiani Fleurier - Toric Chronometre

Parmigiani Fleurier revamps the Toric, one of its most iconic watches whose development was driven by the research of harmony between substance and form.

Inspired by the columns of Ancient Greece, the 40.8 mm case of the new Toric Chronomètre is strongly characterised by alternating gadroons and knurling.

Crafted from white gold or red gold, the new case has been successfully streamlined with elegant lines and curved lugs that conform to the wrist very comfortably. Thickness is just 9.5 mm.

The elegance of the new Toric is emphasised by a highly refined dial, available in black opaline or a delicate white grained version. This hand-crafted finish consists of creating a unique textured background by brushing the surface of the dial with a mixture of salt and silver powder.

Revolving in the dial graduated with Arabic numerals as well as a subtle minute track, the long Javelin-shaped hands are treated with luminescent material for good legibility even in poor light conditions.

As evidenced by the certification number engraved on the PF331 proprietary calibre, assembled with components of the highest quality, each Toric Chronomètre meets the stringent standards for accuracy and reliability of the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this 220-parts manufacture movement offers 55 hours of power reserve.

Matched to a black Alligator strap produced by Hermès, the Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Chronomètre has a retail price of Euro 16,900.
