Girard-Perregaux - 1966 ww.tc

The new 1966 ww.tc is the first model of the stylish Girard-Perregaux collection to provide a world time complication, one particularly useful in our globalised world.

The function is very user-friendly in terms of legibility and handling. A rotating 24-hour disc surrounding the chapter ring features two black/white semi-circles to distinguish between day and night at first sight.

Settings are performed via the two crowns at 9 and 3 o’clock: the first is used to position the reference city at noon while the second adjusts the hours and minutes – with which the 24-hour disc is automatically synchronised. The time and reference city can be set in both directions.

The 40 mm x 12 mm case is topped by a slim polished bezel framing an elegant opaline dial, protected by a sapphire crystal glass and swept over by leaf-type hands, typical of the line.

The 1966 ww.tc houses a Manufacture automatic movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 46-hour power reserve, which is revealed  through the transparent case-back. Finishes include straight-graining, chamfering, circular-graining and Côtes de Genève decoration.

The Girard-Perregaux 1966 ww.tc is water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet and is available in two versions: one in pink gold with a black alligator leather strap and the other in steel with either a black alligator strap or a steel bracelet. girard-perregaux.com
