Jaeger-LeCoultre - High Jewellery timepieces

On occasion of the 73rd edition of the Venice International Film Festival (31 August - 10 September, 2016), Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled its very latest jewellery creations paying tribute to pure femininity.

Crafted from white gold, the Reverso One High Jewelry draws inspiration from the first ladies’ Reverso watches of the 1930s.

The elongated case is adorned with baguette-cut diamonds, a challenging operation which requires all the expertise of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s master jewellers.

The dial is surrounded by three rows of diamonds, reproducing the Reverso’s signature gadroons.

The Arabic numerals distributed around the mother-of-pearl dial are slightly rounded and give the impression of being drawn by hand.

The Duetto concept equips the watch with an alternate face on the reverse side, a black aventurine dial with a sprinkling of stardust scattered all over its surface. Finally, diamonds trace out the perimeter of the hour and minute display like rays of sunlight.

Inside the 36.3 mm x 18 mm case, the hand-wound Calibre 844 (21,600 vibrations per hour and 38 hours of power reserve.

Framed by a 39 mm white gold case, the Rendez-Vous Moon features a Grand Feu and paillonné enamel dial with thousands of stars on its surface. The enameller scattered minuscule chips of silver throughout the surface to create this effect.

The dial is further enriched by hand-painted ivy leaves, a symbol of eternal love.

Brilliant-cut diamonds set the bezel, lugs, and case’s crowns. A star that can slide around the dial, adjustable via one of the watch’s crowns, indicates the time of your next rendezvous.

The movement is the automatic Calibre 935 beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph) with an autonomy of 49 hours.

The Rendez-Vous Secret white gold watch is inspired by a Jaeger-LeCoultre model from the 1960s. The timepiece showcases the Maison’s miniaturisation skills behind the union of mother-of-pearl and precious gemstones.

The watch’s cover is abloom in marquise-cut diamonds, pink sapphires, and brilliant-cut rubies. Two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds make up the bracelet. A total of 108 pink sapphires (0.95 carats) and 196 diamonds (11.1 carats) is used for this high jewellery creation.

The cover gently opens to give a glimpse of the time on the dial, enriched by mother-of-pearl Ivy leaves.

The Rendez-Vous Secret is driven by a manually wound mechanical movement Calibre 846/1 with 38 hours of autonomy when fully wound.
