Breitling - Chronoliner Blacksteel

Following the red gold limited series that we presented here last June, Breitling has just presented a new version of the Chronoliner combining its high-tech ceramic bezel with a black steel case, along with a matching dial and rubber strap.

Coated with a high-resistance carbon-based treatment, the satin-brushed surfaces of the new Breitling Chronoliner Blacksteel create a pleasant contrast with the shiny, ultra-hard and scratch-resistant ceramic bezel.

The 46 mm x 15.95 mm case is water-resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet and its back bears a representation of the signature stylized planes.

The dial of this triple timezone chronograph features tone-on-tone counters with white and silver indications that stand out clearly against the black background.

The second timezone in 24-hour mode (useful for distinguishing between day and night) is indicated by a red-tipped central hand, while the bidirectional rotating bezel with its star-shaped cut-out that facilitates handling, serves to read off a third timezone, also in 24-hour mode.

Oversized hands and hour-markers with Super-LumiNova treatment guarantee excellent legibility.

The 4 Hz (28,800 vph) automatic movement is chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) and has a power reserve of 42 hours.

The original rubber strap reproduces the design of the steel mesh Aero Classic bracelets.
