Jaeger-LeCoultre - Atelier Reverso

The Reverso in a never ending source of inspiration for the designers of Jaeger-LeCoultre.

From this year the Grande Maison is offering watch lovers the chance to take part in the adventure of customising their own Reverso by choosing the design of the back dial and other details.

The skilled hands of Jaeger-LeCoultre artisans in the Vallée de Joux, at the heart of the Swiss Jura, will then give shape to the imagined ideal.

At the moment, this unique experience - the Atelier Reverso - is proposed for the Duo and Duetto models in the Reverso Classic collection.

Atelier Reverso enables the future owner of the watch to express personal wishes and desires through the proposed range of dials, such as versions made of stone or adorned with an ivy motif.

Each colour infuses the timepiece with a distinctive touch, from the tender hues of delicate pink, to  shades of dark blue or magnetic grey expressing contemporary elegance, or the energy-filled glow of reds and browns.

On the Reverso Classic Duetto model, the dial can be intensified by gem-set hour-markers eventually complemented by a gem-set for a sparkling radiance.

The Reverso Classic Large Duo watch is also perfectly suited for the Atelier Reverso experience. This model features an entire front side dedicated to tradition and expertise, with a brushed and guilloché dial hosting a 24-hour day/night indicator at 6 o’clock. Swivelling the watch reveals the local time dial that can be clothed in new colours: an intense pigment-saturated dark blue or a sophisticated burgundy, while a choice of three different stone versions will ensure even more options.

Atelier Reverso also enables a choice of straps in a wealth of refined shades as well as calfskin, alligator leather, ostrich and satin materials.

In addition, Jaeger-LeCoultre has invited a star guest to take part in the Atelier Reverso by developing a set of proposals that will be available to complement existing ones for just one year. The designer of the 2016 edition, marking the 85th birthday of the Reverso, is Christian Louboutin, a talented artist and artisan renowned for his collections of shoes for both men and women.

The Atelier Reverso initiative can be experienced in Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques where it is possible to handle dial samples, play with a digital app, and receive guidance and advice to create a completely personal Reverso watch.
