Pre-SIHH 2016: Cartier - Crash Skeleton Pink Gold

Following last year's introduction of the Crash Skeleton Platinum (read about it and the history of the Crash model here), Cartier unveiled the Crash Skeleton Pink Gold, another preview of SIHH 2016 novelties.

In this timepiece, the fully skeletonized movement - one of Cartier’s most striking signatures - merges seamlessly with the curved shapes of the 28.15 x 45.32 mm case (thickness is 9.62 mm).

The Roman numerals, the sword-shaped hands in blued steel and the crown set with a blue sapphire cabochon are other distinctive traits of a Cartier timepiece.

The Crash Skeleton watch is fitted with a transparent case-back that allows its wearer to admire the gearing of the manual winding calibre 9618 MC and its sculpted skeletonized plates with surfaces that are bevelled, satin-finished and polished one by one.

The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of approximately 3 days.

A limited edition of 67 pieces, the Cartier Crash Skeleton Pink Gold has a price of US$ 68,500 / Euro 65,000.
