Vacheron Constantin - New Malte Models with Slate-Coloured Dials

It looks like there is a trend for grey dials and indeed they are very fascinating. At the ongoing Watches & Wonders event in Hong Kong, Vacheron Constantin unveiled two new Malte models in white gold or pink gold featuring an alluring slate-coloured sand-blasted dial.

The signature tonneau-shaped case (dating back to 1912) measures 36.7 x 47.6 mm and frames a truly elegant dial where the hour-markers and the Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock are crafted from gold and hug the curves of the case.

The two new timepieces, whose quality is certified by the Hallmark of Geneva, complement the current range of Malte models driven by the hand-wound Caliber 4400 which may be admired in action through the transparent caseback shaped to match the case. Beating at 4Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour) the movement offers 65 hours of power reserve.

Fitted with a Mississippiensis alligator leather strap secured by a gold half Maltese cross-shaped buckle, the new Vacheron Constantin Malte models in pink gold (ref. 82230/000R-9716) and in white gold (ref. 82230/000G-9185) have a price of around Euro 27,000 / US$ 24,700.
