Laurent Ferrier - Galet Square Autumn

Laurent Ferrier introduced the Galet Square Autumn, a new variation of the recently launched Galet Square collection.

Inspired to the warm colours of the current season, this version is characterised by a red gold-toned dial enriched by a vertical satin-brushed finish which creates copper glints.

The minimalist dial, with small seconds at 6 o'clock, features the typical hours and minutes hands and eleven drop-shaped hour-markers in white gold. It is nicely framed by a 41 x 41 x 11.10 mm cushion-shaped case in stainless steel.

The  self-winding FBN 229.01 calibre - visible through the sapphire crystal case back - is one of the best finished movement on the market with Côtes de  Genève motif on the bridges, circular graining on the mainplate, bevelled wheel spokes, chamfered and polished screw hands.

The movement features a pawl-fitted micro-rotor with a silent shock protection system and guarantees three days of power reserve.

The silicon escapement also features double direct impulse on the balance, an innovation which enables the balance to be impelled twice per oscillation. This means that the movement frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) impulses the balance 21,600 times per hour thus maximising the restitution of energy and reducing the torque required to wind the mainspring.

A chestnut coloured alligator strap completes the watch. The price of the Laurent Ferrier Galet Square Autumn is Swiss Francs 35,000 / US$ 38,000. laurentferrier.ch
