H. Moser & Cie. - Pioneer Centre Seconds

Renown for its elegant timepieces, H. Moser & Cie. is launching today the Pioneer Centre Seconds, a brand new sport watch collection which introduces several new design elements while maintaining the distinctive style of the brand.

The masculine 42.8 mm x 15 mm red gold case, alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, is composed of multiple sections, a solution that will enable H. Moser & Cie. to work with different materials, colours and finishes. The caseband is adorned by black DLC-treated titanium inserts. Black DLC-treated titanium is also used for the inter-horn elements and the screw-in crown.

The new Pioneer Centre Seconds is available in three dial variations: ardoise fumeé (ref. 3230-0902), red-gold fumé (ref. 3230-0901) or argenté (ref. 3230-0900).

The partially skeletonised leaf-shaped hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, a detail which enhances the sporty look of the watches. Thirteen luminescent dots indicate the hours on a flange around the dial.

The Pioneer Centre Seconds is powered by a new 3 Hz (21,600 vph) automatic movement featuring a patented system which ensures a more direct transmission of energy, enhanced performance and reduced dimensions. Equipped with a bi-directional pawl winding system, the watch guarantees a minimum power reserve of 3 days. Finished traditionally and decorated with Moser stripes, the HMC 230 calibre is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

Combined to a solid rubber strap (a first for a watch from H. Moser & Cie.), the new model is water-resistant to 120 metres. The price is Swiss Francs 22,900 / Euro 21,800 / US$ 22,900.
