Cartier - Ronde Croisière

Cartier quietly introduced the new Ronde Croisière model, a sporty three-handed model featuring an ADLC-coated bezel. ADLC is an acronym for amorphous diamond-like carbon, an extremely hard and extraordinarily smooth coating which is applied at a temperature of 200° Celsius. It is almost scratch free and finger print proof.

The round case measures 42 mm x 9.7 mm and offers water resistance to 100 metres with a sapphire crystal to protect the dial characterised by Cartier's signature Roman numerals, rail-track minute circle and sword-shaped skeletonized hands. The crown is set with a black synthetic spinel cabochon, another typical element of Cartier timepieces.

The Ronde Croisière is available in three variations: silver dial, black hands and steel case (ref. WSRN0002), grey dial, steel hands and steel case (ref. WSRN0003), grey dial, pink-gold coloured hands and steel case with bezel and crown in 18 kt rose gold (ref. W2RN0005).

Hidden by the solid caseback, the automatic Cartier in-house movement (calibre 1847MC) beats at 28,800 vph and features a dual-direction winding mechanism which delivers a power reserve of 42 hours while providing enhanced durability via a specially designed lever system.

Completed by a black calfskin strap with a double adjustable folding steel buckle, the Ronde Croisière has a retail price of US$ 4,650 in steel and US$ 5,300 in steel and rose gold.
