AkriviA - Tourbillon Regulator

Following the Tourbillon Hour Minute, AkriviA has presented the Tourbillon Regulator, a new timepiece characterised by the regulator-type arrangement of its indication, with the hours counter at 12 o’clock, the central axis bearing the minutes hand only, and the seconds hand fixed to the tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

The typical AkriviA case is made from stainless steel and has a diameter of 42.5 mm. It frames a grey dial featuring an unusual "polished-matt" finish which is obtained using a hand technique. A blend of crushed rock and vegetable oil is laid out on a flat surface such as glass or marble. After affixing the steel dial on this mixture, the special finish is achieved by patiently applying circular movements. The whole process requires several hours of works and great concentration. The grey dial creates a nice contrast with the three blued-steel hands.

The 13.7 mm carriage of the tourbillon revolves in one minute and houses a Breguet balance-spring connected to the balance wheel oscillating at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The 100 hours of autonomy is supplied by a single barrel. The balance wheel features four spokes with four fine-adjustment inertia-blocks at the end of each.

The transparent back case showcases the beautifully finished movement which features 50 inward angles and is decorated, on both visible and hidden parts, using techniques like domed chamfering, hand-crafted Côtes de Genève, circular graining, straight graining.

The AK-04 calibre was entirely developed and finished by Rexhep Rexhepi and his team. Price on request.
