All Rolex watches sold between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2015 will benefit of a one-year extension of the Rolex International Warranty for a total of a 3-year warranty.

Breitling watches equipped with a Manufacture movement are guaranteed against any manufacturing defect for 5 years from the date of purchase.
Richard Mille owner has the right to have their watch serviced free of charge within the first three years of ownership, after which the warranty is officially extended for another 2 years for a total of 5 years.
Most other brands offer 2-year warranties against manufacturing defects.
It is easy to predict that this move of Rolex will have a significant impact on the Swiss watch industry.
