Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve 2014: the Winners

The jury of the 14th Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG), held in the Grand Théâtre de Genève, has chosen the 2014 winners in each of the twelve categories.

The international jury also awarded the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix, the highest distinction honouring the finest timepiece of the year, to the Breguet Classique Chronométrie (covered on Time and Watches on April 25, 2013).

The winner of the Public Prize is the Breguet Classique Dame.


Two more prizes were awarded to the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon for the best interpretation of a classic timepiece (Revival) and to the Urwerk EMC (again) for Innovation.

Finally, the Special Jury Prize has been assigned to Walter Lange, Ferdinand A. Lange’s great-grandson which in the 1990s had the courage to relaunch the A. Lange & Sohne brand after the enterprise expropriation during the Soviet occupation in 1948. For sure, a well deserved award!
