Bulgari - Bulgari Roma 130th Anniversary

The only descendant of a Greek family of goldsmiths, Sotirio Boulgaris left his small village of Epirus to move to Italy in 1880. In 1884, he opened his first shop in Rome at the Via Sistina, between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. He then decided to italianize his Greek name and spell his brand BVLGARI with a V from the ancient Latin alphabet. After not a long time he relocated to via dei Condotti, one of Rome’s most exclusive addresses, where Bvlgari’s flagship store is still based.

130 years after its foundation, Bulgari releases the Bulgari Roma 130th Anniversary, a commemorative edition of the Bulgari Roma timepiece that was first launched in 1975.

The classic round 39 mm case is characterized by the BVLGARI ROMA engraving on the bezel with the black ceramic crown to add a touch of novelty.

The Bulgari Roma 130th Anniversary edition is available in white gold with a blue lacquered dial or in pink gold with a black or white lacquered dial.

The sapphire caseback displays the mechanical hand-wound Manufacture Calibre BVL 131 M beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and equipped with two barrels offering a a 72-hour power reserve.

Each version will be produced in limited editions of 130 pieces.
