Longines - Conquest Heritage 1954-2014

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the filing of the patent for its "Conquest" brand, Longines presented, during the BaselWorld 2014 show, the Conquest Heritage 1954-2014 collection, four models directly based on the first Conquest models.
The first three references, available in steel, yellow gold or rose gold, share the same silvered dial decorated with a sun-burst motif as the very first Conquest model dating from 1954. The fourth version, available in yellow gold only, is fitted with a gilded dial.
All the dials have dauphine hands and the word "Conquest" inscribed on the dials in the original typeface. Hands and applied indices are coated with Super-LumiNova.
The case has a diameter of 35 mm with a hesalite glass and, just like the original versions, the case back of these commemorative timepieces is decorated with a gold and enamel medallion, the "gold seal of Longines quality", a guarantee of quality that was specific to the original Conquest line. There are two versions of the medallion: the one used for the models in gold is in the form of a constellation, the one for the models in steel represents a fish.

The movement is the self-winding Calibre L633 based on the ETA 2824/2 beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 38 hours.
Fitted on a black alligator strap, the Conquest Heritage 1954-2014 models are all numbered. The gold versions in gold are limited to 60 pieces while the steel model is limited to 600 pieces.
