H. Moser & Cie. - Perpetual Calendar Black Edition

With the new Perpetual Calendar Black Edition, H. Moser & Cie. explores the world of high-tech materials to complement the rose gold, white gold, and platinum models of the Perpetual Calendar collection.

The 40.8 mm case is now available in titanium, a very hard, easy to wear, hypoallergenic and extremely light material, in this case with a DLC black treatment that makes the watch more aggressive compared to the other versions.

The H. Moser & Cie. in-house perpetual calendar is particularly fascinating for its user-friendliness and understatement. The month indication uses the hour indices to mark the months with a small third hand shaped like an arrow.

The flash date switches in a fraction of a second. This is also one of the few perpetual calendars that may be adjusted forward and back at any time of day. Not by chance, the H. Moser & Cie. Perpetual Calendar was awarded the 2006 Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève for its exceptional features.

The dial is also black but enriched by contrasting rose gold indices and hands. The off-centre seconds dial has gold accents.

The see-through curved sapphire crystal case-back displays the matte black finish of the in-house hand-wound movement including a blackened escapement bridge that lets the Moser escapement gleam from within. The remarkably finished Calibre HMC 341 beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour.

The carbon-coated alligator leather band has a matte finish with a pin-buckle clasp in DLC treated titanium.

The Perpetual Calendar Black Edition (ref. 341.050-020) will be available from May 2014 and will be showcased during BaselWorld 2014.
