Developed for the See Battalion of the Germany Navy, the new Mühle-Glashütte Seebataillon GMT is a tool watch conceived for both ground and under water missions.
The 44 mm case protects the shockproof automatic movement and, thanks to the screw-in crown at 4 o'clock, guarantees water resistance to 300 metres. Despite of its size, the watch is lightweight being made of titanium.
The blue dial with Super LumiNova coated hands and indices offers excellent readability while the rotating countdown bezel with large, 5-minute intervals and a minute scale for the the last 15 minutes allows the wearer to calculate the time remaining in various situations.
The Seebataillon GMT uses a 24-hour ring to represent the second time zone with a second zone hand which is split in order not to interfere with the readability of the minute scale.
Based on the ETA 2893-2, the automatic movement, customised by Mühle with woodpecker neck regulation, own rotor and surface finishes, offers 42 hours of power reserve.
The rubber strap with stainless steel folding clasp and screwed attachment bridges completes this watch priced at 2,400 Euros.
