SIHH 2013: Jaeger-LeCoultre - Master Calendar

The new Master Calendar model revealed by Jaeger-LeCoultre in 2013 possesses all the attributes that have forged the success of the Master Control line: useful functions combined with a timeless design made of clear-cut lines and harmoniously arranged indications ensuring instant read-off.
The case appears in a slightly smaller 39 mm diameter, designed to better adapt to the curve of any wrist. The thickness of just 10.6 mm – a remarkable result for a case housing an automatic movement with a complete calendar – contributes to harmonious proportions. Designers also slimmed down the lugs and the bezel to further accentuate the understated elegance.

The central dauphine hands indicating hours and minutes dominate the sunburst silver-toned dial. The day of the week and the month appears in two 12 o’clock apertures, while the seconds read off around the rim of a subdial at 6 o’clock which also displays the moon phase. The long hand tipped by a crescent moon points the date arranged around the dial circumference.
The Master Calendar comes in two versions: one in pink gold (ref. 1552520) and the other in stainless steel (ref. 1558420).The pink gold model is teamed with an alligator leather strap secured by a matching pin buckle, while the alligator strap of the stainless steel version comes with an equally matching folding clasp.
Water-resistant to 5 atmospheres, the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal revealing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 866.
