A. Lange & Söhne - Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar

State-of-the-art tradition is a description that perfectly applies to A. Lange & Söhne. Their latest masterpiece is the newly presented Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar.
You can easily understand from its name the two main complications featured in this haute horlogerie piece.

The readability of the time is not compromised by the perpetual calendar information because they are positioned outside the the hour and minute circle.

In order to integrate a calendar in the dial architecture of the Lange 1, the manufactory’s calibre designers devised the very first rotating peripheral month ring ever implemented in a wristwatch. The underside of the ring has recesses of different depths for the respective durations of each month and features an innovative sampling mechanism. This one-of-a-kind design has been registered for patent.

The dial has no aperture for the tourbillon. The complication can be admired in all its technical mastery through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The cage rotates about its axis once a minute so eliminating the influence of gravity on the balance wheel and its eccentric poising weights. This way, an extremely high degree of rate accuracy is assured.

The new Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar is available in pink gold and in a platinum Limited Edition of 100 pieces.
Size: 41,9 mm. Thickness: 12,2 mm.
